Welcome to
The Race To Korea 'Jeju Island' 2025 series!
Qualifying Series - 15th February - 25th May
National Final - Saturday 31st May
World Final - October 2025
We are delighted to welcome you to the Race To Korea 'Jeju Island' run by Sport2Business Events and part of the World Amateur Golfers Championship.
This is an individual Medal, (Nett, off 95% course handicaps), sponsored series of events across 5 handicap divisions to select a team of 5 to represent the UAE in the World Amateur Golf Championship in late 2025.
There will be 18 qualifiers across the finest golf courses of the UAE, culminating in the National Final at Al Zorah Golf Club on Saturday 31st May 2025.
The 5 category winners of that final then will be flown to South Korea, Jeju Island for an all expenses paid 7 day golfing extravaganza, to represent UAE against 40 other countries in the World Final (www.worldgolfers.com).
The 5 EGF handicap divisions are as follows:
•Up to 5
•6-10
•11-15
•16-20
•21-25
*If there are less than 4 players in 1 division, the organisers will have the option to combine 2 divisions to find a winner.
Given the nature of the event, participants will need to be over 18 and have registered EGF handicaps as the event is sanctioned by the EGF.
The event is open to all amateur golfers, men and women, within these handicap groupings (ie maximum EGF handicap allowed is 25).
You will participate in the handicap grouping dependent on your EGF index handicap on the day of the event.
EQUITABLE STROKE CONTROL
Equitable Stroke Control sets a maximum number of strokes that a player can post on any hole during the tournament to par +4.
In other words: If you are five over par on a hole, you pick up the ball and write the maximum strokes as shown below:
MAXIMUM STROKES
Par 3 = 7 strokes, Par 4 = 8 strokes, Par 5 = 9 strokes
